i love the gift my friends gave me for Xmas, its super adorable from hot topic, a hello kitty purse in a really cool box that read, "music=life" and a rainbow lollipop...i just loved it!

christmas is almost here!

I've bought so many goodies for my loved ones this year and I'm glad i started early on it!, really, like i started in august, ha ha. well, this is my tree above, our little 80"s tree that we love so much, hey hey for the tinsel yay! and fun present for everyone we love, i wish i could get more for ALL of my loved ones...but one day, as long as they know i care..it's all about the Lord and the blessings His birth has brought into this world for me...my faith in Him will always be everlasting..happy birthday Jesus, i love you! everyone have a wonderful holiday, and whatever your faith is in, have a blessed and safe one, from my family to yours, love Nina <3

this weekend is so busy!

i have soo many things to do, the one party I'd like to promote for this weekend is ONE MORE TIME. parties thrown in Modesto ca and it's surroundings by TBC are always a blast and this one is the last one for year 2010. hope you can make it..

ill be visiting elk grove for my niece Alexa's birthday early Saturday and then an afternoon stop to my friend kunthear's home for her 30th birthday party...also in the evening to my cousin Mikey's birthday dinner with drinks to close the night...what a bust Saturday, lets hope i can make it to everything and satisfy all my friends and fam...love u all.

so i went out to eat with...

a few friends one night at our favorite sushi buffet in Stockton ca. and when it was time for fortune cookies, this little guy really made my night...and its keeping me motivated for better things to come...now that I'm not sick anymore, i need to get on the ball with this so i can build a better future for myself and my loved ones...there's only one way, and its the hard way...but it's also well worth the time, money and effort...with God's grace i will achieve my goals and be a happier, more fulfilled person one day....

for people to post their favorite cartoons from their childhood to support against child abuse...these were "some" of my favorites from the past but there's just too many to choose from...i LOVE cartoons!!!

so, my cousin sharon's 2nd baby shower

was pretty fun, me and my cousin Michelle threw it for her again but this time at an Indian restaurant. last year she had a shower at her home, that was very fun too. i made these cool centerpieces out of balloons, pictured above, they were a hit! I'm very glad I'm creative and helpful, i sometimes feel like people take advantage of me, but for this party and the one before i was gifted, and shocked that i was! so i was grateful for the appreciation...which is why i still do what i love, the complements are enough sometimes... :) God has blessed me in so many ways that i wouldn't change who i am for the world...and i am so happy to be me, and to be loved. next up, Michelle's shower! cant wait for you to see what ill be making for her!

so i go to visit my parents one night...

and I'm pulling up to the driveway to see this...a tree! our tree up rooted on a rainy windy night and landed where my sister's car was sitting, just about ten minutes before it fell! my moms car was injured a little but i felt worse for the tree, who knew it was that windy!?!?! :) as long as everyone was safe...actually they didn't even know what happened til i came by that night...the shock on there face was priceless.

Happy Anniversary my Dear!

it is December 1st, 2010, and has been 5 years for me and my MIMI. :) makes me happy. there have been many tough times as well as fun times...and honestly, they were all WORTH it. to love is such a beautiful thing, and to be loved, is wonderful gift from God. i adore you mimi, and you still smitten me once in awhile..which is more than i can ask for. your existence makes me whole. i cherish you mimi. if your not able to read the ring i gave her this year, it says " sern loves her mimi forever" this is what we call each other lol...


and the inside of the ring says, "my whole heart for my whole life"...i hope she enjoys it as much as it means for me to give it to her...

hello...kitty!

i LOVE hello kitty! she's just a fantasy of her own, and super cute. so, my friend sty, her friend boy and myself were hanging out at a FRY'S and we walked my a few cutesy toys. thinking the hello kitty i noticed was a Cambodian version, was actually a eastern Indian one!!! see, i am FIJIAN, my parents are from this beautiful island, but our ancestors are from INDIA. so, we have such a wonderful culture to who we are. its a beautiful thing but as i was saying the hello kitty that's pictured above had what we call a TEEKHA or BHINDI on her forehead, which from my understanding is to show beauty and some religious aspect as well. i just thought it was the coolest thing!

Mmmm.....Yum!

i love Nena's restaurant! its a favorite of everyone living in or near Stockton, CA. a delish mexican restuarant that really gets your mouth watering...oh how good it was today! me and teen had the chili colorado, chili relleno,  and cheese enchilaladas, with home made torillas. oh my dear! it was worth it for how hard teen has been working on herself and her workout...and i was just hungry, lol. its definately a place to try out if ever in the area.

ill be honest...

so... i guess i can say i've been lagging on working out..it happens, lol. all i know is for me to enjoy my workouts i have to do it my way, my time, but enough to see and feel the affects of it. so the lean shakes i mentioned on an older post were getting a little too expensive for me and mimi and i made a change last night. we went to Target and bought PURE PROTEIN it tastes pretty good and hopefully i see the results soon and ill keep you posted.

Halloween was AWESOOOME!!

i had a blast for Halloween 2010!!! it was great Halloween Massive in San francisco.  as you can see, i was SNOOKI and i rocked it. this picture above is with DEADMAU5 (not the real one but pretty cool either way). 

my bestie and love was the most famous TINKI WINKI TELETUBBIE with her bling in her ears, lol...what a blast!

my mimi loves SPIDERMAN and she got super lucky when she saw them that night, along with our friend vanessa the naughty school girl...

my little sister jennie, (oh how gorgeous she is as a pirate!!) and her hunk of a BFF daniel as a zombie/ V for Vendetta took a picture with the awesome Bender from Futurama...they partied crazy too but before the party even started, we had one of our own...and the little adventure we went on to find some food 8pm in the middle of Frisco was priceless! didn't realize with a city full of people the food places close sooo early...got lucky with a cab, dropped off at a Indian restaurant that almost cussed us out by the time we left (changed our mind about eating there lol) and finally found what we were looking for...PIZZA!!! what makes it even better and healthier is we found it at SUBWAY :) so we eat on the walk back, forget the cab! we need to keep our money for drinks at the club...and take a quick detour under a freeway bridge, hehe inside joke...then finally make it to the party! yee!

vanessa's sister franchesca almost enjoyed the festivities...she was the best gangsta out there!

very close friends showing up fashionably late, lol were jas and gina or should i say Officer Dangle and Vixen Pirate, lol oh how i love them both, they made the night a little more funnier, tipsy and we danced our butts off!

All in all, IT WAS A WONDERFUL NIGHT! except when we got stopped by the cops, but they let us go...lol hope you all had fun too!

Halloween Massive!

workin' hard!

i am so happy with the results im seeing on my body with this workout routine! a little tired of the chicken meals, so me and bestie are gonna invest in some tuna steaks and salmon burgers, boca burgers and ground turkey meat...YUMMY! i know, burgers need buns, but the ones we love to use are orowheat sammich thins
and they are delish! i am losing inches, not too sure on the actual weight, but i am slowing melting the belly bulge, which is my main concern. i read up on my favorite make up artist and youtube guru Kandee Johnson and she takes some shakes that i just considered and ordered from Nutiva Organic products and she had also mentioned Maca Powder which helps keep your body healthy in the most natural ways. so i ordered them and they should be coming in soon, can't wait to try it out! im very excited that i am bettering my life one day at a time, now if i can only stop my brain from over thinking so much! oh, if there were only a few more hours in a day....haha. 

oh the weather out there...

love the fall season! the fashion, the colors, the cozy comfort of home and loved ones...i am feeling a little blue but i noticed as soon as i smell the damp earth and feel the cool touch of the morning hit my skin, i feel alive. i wish i had more time to put things up like pictures and my art and poetry...but after working it seems the day goes by so fast :( i am working on an accessories and clothing website with my bestie and hopefully that can take me away from this desk job. i mean the pay isnt bad but my desire to share my sense of art and love dont seem to aspire here sitting at a desk answering calls of so many negative people. i need more love in my life, i need more freedom! and i believe it wont take me long to get it. after putting my mind through a lot of thought i just need to make the right choices in getting a perfect start on the plan ahead of me to further my future. that said i am ready to get my life back!

Hello! and i'm back...

had a great time in Vegas! i was there a whole week and it was all fun times...spent it with my parents, and this vacation was much needed. i ate pretty healthy out there, for what healthy could be on a vacation, ha ha! so i didn't gain my weight back, which is an awesome thing! i did my mom's hair and make up and she looked at least ten years younger, it was nice to see her so excited about it. ill have a few pictures up later.

so i found some awesome deals this past week at some of my favorite places to shop online.. Delia's is having 80% off of clearance right no and i stocked up on some leggings, cuz i Love my leggings! i also went to Alloy and found lots of cute things...hurry before they're all gone!

i was going through my emails yesterday morning and found one more place i love to find clearance accessories here at Hot Topic .  some of my favorite stores other than the ones above are Forever21 and thrift stores! i love cheap cheap and more cheap! me and Mimi say,

style is what you make it and its true! find who you really are and fall in love with yourself, don't try and be someone you're not and live and love like there's no tomorrow....

to feel like this...

happiness is always around the corner when you spend time with friends...there's not much to say other then, they are the BEST!

vegas baby!!!

taking my mom and dad to Vegas for the week and i am so excited! my mom's 50th birthday was this year but due to a loss in the family, we weren't able to celebrate, so my dad and myself decided since she loves Vegas, why not?! me and my love purchased a timeshare and this is my first time using it, so i hope everything is OK and works out smoothly...i know i will have a blast and will post many pictures as the week goes on..Keep us in your prayers and  will be back soon!

Feeling much better....

after having a moment with myself..i feel a little better than my last blog. sometimes you need to push through all the pain in your heart to be able to claim clarity..in any situation. i needed my best friend and kindred spirit to hold my hand  in time of need and a little spiritual help from God to lighten up my day. i am very thankful for all of my loved ones, but i don't know what i would do if i didn't have those who could see my worries through a broken smile. in the same moment, my love is so strong, it wouldn't be wise for anyone to get in between it...especially in a time like this. what I've learned..give it to God and he will show you the way...and let you know if you have the will to stay..

Some days....

some days are so hard to deal with when your emotions take over...it could be the smallest of things that can cause the heart to hurt, and the soul to look another direction. to feel as if you are loved, but that the love you share with another is only seen through the two souls, and ignored by others.....

to feel as if all you work for to make a life wonderful with one another, crashes in your face because the outside world cannot see or comprehend the love that you feel for each other. it doesn't make it easier when you can't openly express the way you feel, calling it true love...and making others see that its not that true at all...

a fogged image in an old mirror, something that used to be there every time you looked...is just simply slipping away...too hard to catch from either end because neither wants to confess...how painful to bear such beauty in the darkest existence of your soul...when you cant even bare to share with your loved one the true feelings you endure...

the pain of it all is so unbearable at times, it seems easier to let go...because the one who should be able to see your pain, or whats causing it...is the only one who doesn't...

im gonna be SNOOKI for Halloween! haha! Why not give it a shot this year since she's so popular. i'm thinking about the poofy hair, a animal print or ED HARDY T-shirt dress, some pink bunny slippers, and those cool crystal sun glasses she has during the 2nd season! i hope i can rock it and ill post a picture as soon as i get everything i need! this is going to be so much fun!

i LOVE shoes!

i recently started falling in love with shoes! i have to start posting some of my favorite ones because they are adorable, sexii, hot or just plain gorgeous!!! for some one of my height of only 4' 11" lol, well 5' with my Converse Chuck T's, :) i am blessed to wear 4-4 1/2 inch heels! i love my legs in them, and they look even better if i worked out the night before, hehe... well here's one of them above, it's called the BLUE LAGOON  and has a very sexy black gator belt type of thingy on it, enjoy!

I fit in my jeans!

i bought these jeans from Delias.com and they were too tight last week Sunday...so i try them on this Friday morning and they fit a little better! i'm so happy! its not perfect yet but i feel so much better to have lost a few inches in the first week.

Ever Wonder???

So...do you ever wonder how you can express yourself to the fullest? i have always thought to express myself through dance, abstract art and poetry. i believe even though there may not be an understanding of my expressions, as long as the respect for my personal work exists, i can keep on sharing...so in the near future i will have my poetry and some of my art up for everyone to appreciate just because i'd like to share who i really am.

Had an amazing workout last night! i am so sore, but it was very worth it..it's been 2 days and i lost 1.3 lbs! i workout after work for about 1-2 hours a day 5 days a week...it's painful, but if you strive for something it doesnt always just fall into your lap. i go to the ZUMBA and CARDIO KICKBOXING classes. they are both fun and awesome choices to slim down and tone. i will be taking pictures of myself to show the difference in my body in the near future. 

This is the meal i take in during the monday through friday work week. i wake up for work and have a lean shake from GNC (chocolate and vanilla bean are the best!) gnc.com

 Then i have a meal or meal replacement (full of good carbs and protein) every 3 hours. so ill have some chicken/fish (baked) and brown rice (1/2 cup) similiar to the picture below.

the lean shake will follow again, and then again with the chicken/fish meal with veggies will follow twice every 3 hours. my last meal is a shake right after my evening cardio classes. this plan was set up by a cousin of mine who works as a nutritionist at 24 Fitness, and he is doing wonders with his body, and i am sure it will be the same for me and any others who are willing to try this. i also take a woman's muiltivitamin and omegas 3's.

Well i hope this helps some of you like its helping me and let me know if it does any good for you or even if you have any ideas that can work with this healthy eating habit.

No longer caged within myself..

i feel as if i am ready to fly, to have a stronger mindset. i have always had a problem with my weight from the age of 9. i was always thin as a child and after visiting my parents' home Island in the beautiful FIJI Islands, i had gained a large amount of weight and i have had my ups and downs with that. Now i am ready for a change, i am ready to fight myself  to do whats right from inside out...and already i feel my feet picking up off the ground! i will be back a few times to let everyone know what it is that i do to lose this weight, how to treat your body better, a few beauty secrets i have learned over time (and who i've learned them through!) and also how i am becoming a stronger person because of my positive changes...

So here it begins...

Starting to appreciate life a little more after going through so much, i feel as if i should share the little things...its seems as if the "little things" are all that matter these days. i am growing in God and in many other aspects in life and i just want to put my entire life out to the world to share. i mean honestly i can't Facebook forever..lol, and i dont have time for my precious scrapbooks so it seems this is the best way to document my being. i thank anyone who is reading my blog and has anything positive to say that will make my days go smoother...because it seems as if we all need a less bumpy road once in awhile. so, with that i guess i can say..LET'S BEGIN!
